I was fascinated to learn that there were multiple epidemics (pandemics) during the American Revolutionary period. Frankly, I should have known better, because I learned that during the Civil War, communicable diseases spread like crazy, too.
A disease is not an excuse to violate individual liberties. Simple as that.
