The Florida governor isn’t falling for the clever strategies of LGBT activists.

(LifeSiteNews) — Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to model what it looks like for a conservative politician to push back against the cultural revolution.

Last year, DeSantis signed the Parental Rights in Education bill, which bans schools from teaching children in kindergarten through third grade about gender ideology as well as other explicit sexuality-related subjects, limiting sex education overall to “age appropriate” content and mandating parental involvement. The Parental Rights in Education bill also ensured that parents be informed of anything that could impact the physical, emotional, or mental well-being of their child.

As you may recall, LGBT activists responded to this bill by launching an all-out media war on DeSantis, insisting that the bill was a “Don’t Say Gay” law and that DeSantis was targeting LGBT youth. The media picked up on the phrase, and “Don’t Say Gay” became the catchphrase. Interestingly, few media outlets noted that LGBT activists were pushing two entirely contradictory statements: a) Nobody is trying to indoctrinate little kids and b) How dare you tell us we can’t discuss LGBT ideology with kindergarteners.

This week, the Florida Department of Education has extended the moratorium on teaching LGBT ideology through all grades. In response, Joe Biden’s lesbian press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters: “It’s wrong. It’s wrong, and we’ve been very crystal clear about that when it comes to the ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill and other actions that this governor has taken in the state of Florida. But make no mistake — this is part of a disturbing and dangerous trend that we’re seeing across the country of legislation that are anti-LGBTQI+, anti-trans, anti-the community in a way that we’ve seen in some time.”

LGBT activists are telling on themselves. Gender ideology in schools is very new — it wasn’t even much of a thing at the very left-wing university I graduated from a decade ago. But when conservatives push back on having it taught as fact to an entire generation of Americans, they’re accused of being “part of a disturbing and dangerous trend” that is “anti-trans.” LGBT activists implement sweeping changes, declare these fresh changes to be essential “norms,” and then accuse anyone who disagrees with them of a hateful and completely unprovoked “attack” on “the community.” It’s a clever strategy. DeSantis isn’t falling for it.

Again, in their response to DeSantis, LGBT activists are telling on themselves. For example, after the Florida House sent DeSantis a bill this week that bans children from adult performances, officials from the Pride Alliance of Treasure Coast in southeast Florida have decided to cancel their scheduled pride parade and restrict other pride events to people ages 21 and older. The Pride Alliance noted that: “We hope that everyone understand that this is definitely not what we wanted at all and are working with the city to assure our safety as well as produce a positive event.”

As the Associated Press put it:

The legislation, which awaits the governor’s signature, would allow the state to revoke the food and beverage licenses of businesses that admit children to adult performances. The DeSantis administration has moved to pull the liquor license of a Miami hotel that hosted a Christmas drag show, alleging children were present during “lewd” displays.

To sum up: the Florida House submits a bill that would bar children from attending lewd displays. In response, the Pride Alliance cancels their scheduled parade. What does that tell us about the parade? Again, these people are telling on themselves. As Chad Felix Greene put it:

DeSantis: ‘Listen. Have your fun during Pride, but no nudity or stripping or dildos or twerking in front of minors.’

FL LGBTQ: *flips table* ‘THEN WE’RE NOT DOING IT AT ALL!!’

That’s pretty much it. When they tell you who they are, believe it.
