Lately, I’ve been thinking about what can happen in a year’s time, Arthur.
Not just the past year, when your commitment to resisting the GOP’s dangerous agenda and holding Donald Trump accountable has made me so proud to be a Democrat. I’m also talking about the year ahead leading up to the critical midterm elections.
A lot will happen between then and now — including the statewide elections in Virginia and New Jersey coming up in just 42 days.
It’s up to us to support Democrats up and down the ballot in tough off-year races and in 2018. It’s up to us to lay the groundwork for our 50-state strategy so that we can take back the House in 2018. It’s up to us to defeat the Republicans’ health care repeal effort every time it comes back from the dead.
Democrats have a lot to get done. That’s why I’m coming to you directly, Arthur.

The part that stands out? The 50-State strategy!
What a laugh!
The previous President chased the Democratic Party out of the supermajority of states throughout the union.
Republicans have taken over 26 states with GOP trifectas. Democrats control only 4 states, and those states are struggling to hang on. They are deeply in debt, everyone is fleeing, and the chances of the Democratic Party having any legacy to stand on is slim to none.
The very idea that Democrats are going to find some way to compete in the vast majority of jurisdictions is just laughable.
