Another House seat was added to the California Congressional delegation.
Instead of starting at the southern border of the entire state of California, the district rested in the entirety of Los Angeles County, then stretched up all along the Western coastline up to the border of San Mateo County.
The eastern most side of the county ended between Kern and Santa Barbara Counties, then continued along a northwestern pattern.
One of the most noteworthy facts about this newly-drawn 6th Congressional District was that the first elected representative belonged to the Populist Party.
