"There is no bad guy. It's not the Koch brothers, Grover Norquist or the Maltese Falcon. There is no evil entity, snorting steam from his nose, standing in an office full of Nazi memorabilia, staring out the window with the cityscape view, laughing: "Ha! Ha! Ha! Pretty soon, all this will be mine. Mine, I say!" — Larry Elder
No more scapegoats, no more "victicrats".
It's time that people stopped looking for empty suit, entitled "boogie man" as the source of all their problems.
Even "V for Vendetta" had the courage, albeit feigned, as he broadcasted his message to an anonymous public behind a ubiquitous mask, to blast the one who has the responsibility and response to effect change: the one looking in the mirror.
You and I are responsible for the faults and failures in our lives, to the extent that we refuse to exert, thrust, or trust power to one who can help us through all things.
We have the power to effect change in our own lives, regardless of the thoughtless thoughts and empty feelings and fear which have plagued humanity since time immemorial.
There is no puppet master. There is not ghost, no military-industrial complex to rise up against. When we rise up against our own ambition inhibitions, then we can effect real change for the better for ourselves and our country.
