When I first heard about this news, I was not too sure.
So it was still subject to speculation.
But Townhall.com has come out in full force declaring that Democrat Jim Justice, who was elected last year as a Democrat by 7 points, is going to join the GOP:
This is certainly unusual, and it's a bit strange for a politician to
switch his party period, never mind less than a year after he was elected. West
Virginia has been a red state since the 2000 election, but elected its first
Republican senator since 1959 in 2014.

Welcome (back) to the GOP, Gov. Justice.
Now, Twitter Moments has confirmed the truth:
Jim Justice is moving back to the GOP.https://t.co/TzME9IQlds— Twitter Moments (@TwitterMoments) August 3, 2017
This is such good news.
I can't stop laughing.
I am so happy.
The Republican Party now has control of 34 governorships!
The Republican Party now has 25 GOP trifectas.
This is YUGE — and the GOP owes Donald Trump big time for this huge shift in political power.
Incredible, and just plain wonderful.
Welcome to the Parade, Governor Justice!
