I have chosen to resist the Death Penalty as a viable option for punishing offenders, even the worst kind.
Yet San Francisco Chronicle columnist Debra Saunders has offered a sound argument for keeping the death penalty: a strong bargaining chip to force heinous offenders to cut a quick deal instead of forcing victims' families to endure months of trials and tribulations over the painful past.
