"Oh, I have had a wonderful call from God! It takes Almighty God Incarnate in us to do the meanest duty to the glory of God. It takes God’s Spirit in us to make us so absolutely humanly His that we are utterly unnoticeable. The test of the life of a saint is not success, but faithfulness in human life as it actually is. We will set up success in Christian work as the aim; the aim is to manifest the glory of God in human life, to live the life hid with Christ in God in human conditions. Our human relationships are the actual conditions in which the ideal life of God is to be exhibited."

"To manifest the glory of God" is not a work! It is a state of being, one that we abide in by faith!

Sometimes, when nothing "seems" to be happening, I would get bored, than angry, than anxious!

Then a little voice would start to nag: "You need to do something! You need to do something!"

But everything has been done! Done at the Cross! It's not about my doing, but my believing in His doing!

"It takes God’s Spirit in us to make us so absolutely humanly His that we are utterly unnoticeable."

We are not called to be something, or even to be nothing — we are called to let God be everything in us, and along the way, we get glory, too. Here, we have to be careful not to make something of ourselves, even in trying to be nothing. The point is that we are no longer trying! He is doing, we are believing, ever receiving from Him!

"The test of the life of a saint is not success, but faithfulness in human life as it actually is."

We already are successful! We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus! We are not seeking success, we release it more and more, every day! I do not put my trust in human life, per se, I put my trust in Christ, who is my Life (as well as the Way and the Truth!)

The hard part for believers is stop with believing. When we believe on Him, behold we remember that He is, He is working, He is working is us, for us, through us, effecting great things on our behalf, wonderful glorious things which we cannot do of ourselves.
