In the midst of skyrocketing debt, collapsing entitlement programs and a pension program which is scuttling toward insolvency, State Senator Ted Lieu thinks that we need to safeguard the welfare of . . .sharks?
As we speak, there is another looming menace, a rapacious fiend which trails in its wake fiscal insolvency, bankruptcy, and political chaos for all the innocent victims of this country. This monster is set to devour all of us beach-dwellers, and staying out of the water will not save us.
Protect the fins of the deep-blue predators? What about protecting the taxpayers from the deep-red predators, meaning the ravenous politicians who demand more of our money with less return on our forced investment, drowning us in red ink which our grandchildren will have to manage?
Rather than protecting the wildlife, we need to defend ourselves, the civilized masses burdened on shore with the reckless spending from state capitols and the federal government. Our means of survival are being lopped off with higher interest rates, taxes, and regulations which cannot revive the economy. Fine, protect the sharks in their innate need to lurk beneath the deep, but how about protecting the people from the predators preying on our livelihood in the name of providing and protecting us for our future?
