Just before Christmas last year, I received a postcard from the National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman Cory Gardner (R-Colorado).
He provided a warm display of himself with his family:
US Senator Gardner joined with the wide phalanx of GOP victories in 2014 as Republicans took advantage of epic dissatisfaction with President Obama and the Democratic lawmakers all over Washington DC. The six-year itch hit Obama's US Senate Majority very hard, and the GOP-controlled House gained more seats that year, including districts which had not been represented by Republican lawmakers for at least two decades.
Gardner's victory signaled a small rebound for the Colorado Republican Party, too, which had been in epic decline since left-wing billionaires and activists colluded for the big blue Rocky Mountain Heist in the state.
Still … Cory pandered on one issue: DACA. He veered left during the final debate with Democratic incumbent Tom Udall, and he pledged to support the young illegals.
That was stupid, and he should retract that decision.
Here are the contents of the Christmas card which he sent me:
and also
Why does everyone believe that the same Savior who died for all mankind, whose Father so loved the whole world to give His Son for us, cannot save men and women in their home countries? The United States is not the savior of the world, but this country is a great and thriving country because of the Savior, because God's grace is shed upon our mountains, prairies, streams, livestock and lively people.
We need to get over this misplaced notion that the United States of America is the only place where the rule of law, individual liberty, freedom of speech and association can thrive. Let's be the City on a Hill providing the light and example for the rest of the world to follow.
The people of Iran recognize the liberty and opportunity which our country accords to all who come legally and embrace our life and ways. The same can happen for everyone else.
It's time to send US Senator Cory Gardner and the rest of the US Senate a clear message:
This country is a great country because we are a nation of laws, and the rule of law (not men) is sacrosanct in this country. We prize individual liberty, limited government, and constitutional rule. It's time for men and women across the country to fight for the same recognition of their human rights in their home countries, too.
Tell Senator Gardner:
1. No DACA
2. No Amnesty
3. Build the Wall
4. Put Americans First!
