Last week, I finally signed up for Democratic Presidential candidate Martin O'Malley's campaign newsletter.
And within two days, I received his last eblast.
Just love it! This is great. Progressivism go trumped big time last night. Two aging socialists are duking it out over a sliver of votes.
They will be tearing each other apart for the next three months!
Check out O'Malley's final words to his supporters (or should I write, supporter?):
Friend,
I wanted you to be first to know: tonight, I am suspending
my campaign for the presidency.
my campaign for the presidency.
My first thought: what took you so long?!
Iowa has been like a second home for me this past year. From
college campuses to family farms, I have had the privilege of getting to know
Iowans whose passion for our democracy is unmatched.

Iowa a second home, and even there no one wanted him. In one video clip, O'Malley courted one voter just before the new year. He walked away, still unsure if he would support him.
Ouch!
I want to thank everyone who came out to our events, and
lent me their ear. Everyone who went out to caucus for me tonight, and lent me
their voice. I give you my deepest gratitude.

Everyone? All two of them deserve a round of applause.
Together we all stood up for working people, for new
Americans, for the future of the Earth and the safety of our children. We put
these issues at the front of our party’s agenda—these are the issues that serve
the best interests of our nation.

The road has been long, but our course has been true. A
great many people have put their time and talents into my campaign and I thank
each of you from the bottom of my heart.

Whoever our nominee is, we must all hold strong, together.
You and I, must hold strong for that mom and dad who are
working 3 jobs between them and sweating about how they’re going to pay the
bills.

bills.
Notice how Earth gets capital letters, but not Mom and Dad. No wonder Marty never scored any traction with voters. Families matter more than the ground we walk on!
We must hold strong for the future of all of America’s
children—black and white—for a country with equal justice under the law and equal
opportunity for all.

Yes, and Republicans are achieving what you have been dreaming.
We must hold strong for our senior citizens who have given
their all for our country and are left now to choose between food and medicine.

Because of Obama, Obamacare, and now Weekend at Bernie Sanders.
We must hold strong for Latinos and Muslims and everyone
defending us against the demagogues.

The greatest demagogue is in the White House, right now. The hatred of Americans and our Constitution will be long gone by then.
We must hold strong for the future of Americas cities home
of our greatest challenges and greatest opportunities.

We must hold strong to our beliefs. A belief in the dignity
of every person. A belief in our own responsibility to advance the common good
we share. We all must hold strong to what this country truly is, can be, and
should be, and must be.

A belief in our own responsibility. . .How about that? Then why does the Democratic Party keep preaching victimhood, bitterness, and entitlement?
Thank you for your support,
Martin O’Malley
Thank you for leaving. Please do not let the door hit your butt on the way out!
Oh, by the way. . .
Get this. I kid you not. O'Malley provided a "Donate" button in his final eblast, too. Demanding more of other people's money, to the very end. That's what these Big Government statists are all about!
Perhaps a little pity for Marty? Ha!
