Mendes Named ‘Gas Tax Repeal Hero’
HANFORD, CA- Justin Mendes was listed as a “Gas Tax Repeal Hero”. The Yes on Prop 6 campaign has announced the elected officials and candidates that have helped in the fight to repeal the $52 billion gas and vehicle registration tax.
Stated on their website, “Actions are more important than mere words. Beware of politicians who may claim they are on board with the repeal of the car and gas tax hikes. Only the individuals listed… have offered meaningful assistance to the campaign!”
“The Yes on Prop 6 campaign is the perfect opportunity to push back and say no more. Cost of living in this state is the highest it has ever been and we need to be lifting this burden off of Central Valley families. We need a representative that does more than just push a button in Sacramento, we need a leader that will stand up and fight for the Central Valley” said Mendes when announcing the Yes on Prop 6 recognition.
Mendes, a valley native, was raised on a dairy farm. Staying true to his roots, he has remained a strong, reliable advocate for the Central Valley. Gaining Support from the Kings County Farm Bureau and Kern County Farm Bureau is a reminder that Justin truly understands the needs of the valley.
Following his election to the Hanford City Council in 2014, Justin Mendes focused on improving public safety in his community. He has led the fight for a new fire station and increased the police presence in local neighborhoods.
Justin Mendes is a Hanford City Councilman, a husband and a father. On the Hanford Council, Justin delivered clean water to his constituents and put his residents above political agendas. He has continually fought to create new jobs that will benefit the community for the long term.
