On Sunday, May 21, 2017, I attended the Torrance-Lomita Republican Assemnbly meeting in Torrance, CA.
A gentleman from Bell Gardens, who had lived in South Los Angeles, reached out to me because he wanted to share with me the corruption he has seen in rentals and built homes throughout the region.

He experienced the corruption directly because his landlord had constructed another home on the same property, even though the land was not zoned for an extra dwelling.
This construction had occurred before state law was passed to throw out city-based zoning laws. How did the landlord get away with this brazen violation of urban planning laws?
He bribed the local politicians.
Fernando knew about this corruption–and he is very concerned about the rising amount of similar pay-for-play schemes emerging all over Los Angeles County.
Currently, Fernando is a legal resident, but he is not a fully naturalized citizen. Therefore, he could not vote in the last election. He is on track to become a citizen because he likes Donald Trump and wants to vote for him in 2020.
