"Therefore I say unto
you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink;
nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and
the body than raiment?" (Matthew 6: 25)
We are called not to take thought for our life. Jesus Christ instead tell us what to seek:
"But seek ye first
the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added
unto you." (Matthew 6: 33)
His Kingdom and His righteousness He freely gives (Luke 12: 32) through His Holy Spirit (Romans 14: 17)
We are called to grow in grace and knowledge of the Lord (2 Peter 3: 18), that our faith will become effective as we learn and receive more of all that Jesus has done for us (Philemon 6).
We do not identify with ourselves, anymore, for He is now our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1: 30)
Paul tells us to set our eyes on Him, seated at the right hand of the Father (Colossians 3: 1), for we are dead to our flesh (Romans 6: 14), and now our lives are hidden in Christ (Colossiasn 3: 4).
We identify with Him who died for us and lives for us and justifies us!
"As He is, so are we in this world!" (1 John 4: 17)
