After the worst massacre in United States history at the Orlando gay night club, Democrats have renewed their iniquitous drive for gun control.

Yes, there are lots of shooting on American soil.

The guns cannot be blamed, because they do not shoot themselves, or fire themselves, or whatever trope critics try to use.

Guns do not kill people. People do.

No one should let the Orlando massacre go to waste.

Democratic babies with their goo-goo, ga-ga gun grab

Not gun control, but terrorism control is the order of the day.

Omar Mateen's coworkers and employers suspected many bad things about the radicalized Muslim.

His coworkers quit working at the security firm where he worked, but his employers refused to fire him. Why? They did not want to be labeled Islamophobes or racist anti-Muslim reactionaries.

White guilt strikes again. No, we do not need gun control. We need to celebrate our free Western cutlture and stand up to Islam and its wicked cohort perpetrators.

Yet here the United States Congress finds itself once again, not willing to speak the unpalatable, politically incorrect truths.

Let's go after the guns, Democrats say. They can't speak for themselves, right?

The gun owners can, though, and they are not relenting.

Republicans, conservatives, pro-Second Amendment supporters need to do more than just hold the ground they have. They need to play offense on this issue in a meaningful way.

How many of the Democratic Congressmen have bodyguards? How many of them possess firearms?

Congressman Ted Lieu (D-Torrance) knows how to use a firearm.

Apparently, his rank and expertise justify taking away everyone else's rights to keep and bear arms.

He relies on his military expertise to justify joining his fellow liberal regressives in  their gun control sit-in.

Congressman Lieu released the following:

Washington – Today, Congressman Ted W. Lieu (D-Los Angeles
County) issued the following statement in light of a sit-in by Democrats on the
House Floor today to demand a vote on legislation to address gun violence in
America.

“Having earned two
marksmanship ribbons in the U.S. military, I am well aware of the lethality of
guns.  It is ridiculous the United States
gives terrorists easy access to weapons that can kill a lot of people very
quickly.  We absolutely need to require
background checks before all gun purchases and restrict people on the no fly
list from buying guns.

The "lethality" of guns? Really? Everyone knows that guns kill. No surprises there, Congressman.
“Due to recklessness
by House Republicans and the NRA’s maniacal stonewalling of any gun safety
legislation, Democrats must stage a sit-in on the House floor simply to request
a vote on gun safety legislation.  My Democratic
colleagues and I have had enough of Congressional inaction on gun violence in
America.

How about Congressional inaction on repealing Obamacare? Or securing our borders? Or removing unnecessary barriers to economic growth?
Gun control will not stop gun crimes. Gun control will stop law-abiding citizens from stopping gun crimes with their own firearms.

“I am honored to join
civil rights icon John Lewis in the sit-in and applaud his leadership on this
fierce, urgent issue.  Since the Orlando
massacre, the worst mass shooting in our history, 500 more Americans have been
the victims of gun violence.  Enough is
enough.”

Indeed, enough is enough–of Democrats' continuing to use every gun crime as a pretext to punish the millions of law-abiding gun owners in the country.
Shame on Congressman Ted Lieu and his listless Democratic colleagues. They should be tackling legislation to protect private property, individual liberty, and restore state sovereignty.
Frankly, they can sit down and stay at home. Or at leas their sit-in assures the country that they are not accomplishing anything.

The Second Amendment is a right, not a privilege or a suggestion, and he needs to leave it alone!
Lieu needs to get off his ass and get to work–PROTECTING
our rights rather than trying to take them away.
