Cap and Traitor? But Devon Mathis CAREs, right?

So, Devon Mathis betrayed his constituents and his party voting for the cap and trade extension.

But wait, that makes him a hero, doesn't it, for someone?

Why yes!

This interest group called Caliornians for Affordable and Reliable Energy.

They even cut this wonderful commercial for Devon!

So all is forgiven because of the "suspension" of a fire tax.

Suspension does not mean abolition or removal.

Watch as this fire tax gets re-instated next year.

Then Mathis gets the boot.

Besides, isn't this fire tax illegal, anyway?

It's currently under litigation right now, and very likely to be done away with, regardless of  legislative action.

So, all that betrayal for nothing.
