An elementary school principal in Brooklyn, New York dived into the NYC Culture wars, and decided to ban Santa, the Pilgrims, and the pledge of Allegiance from PS 169.
Fox News reported that the Political Correctness whitewashing (is "whitewash" too prejudiced a term?) went far beyond the winter holidays:
Santa Claus is banned. The Pledge of Allegiance is no longer
recited. “Harvest festival” has replaced Thanksgiving, and “winter
celebrations” substitute for Christmas parties.

New principal Eujin Jaela Kim has given PS 169 in Sunset
Park, Brooklyn, a politically correct scrub-down, to the dismay of teachers and
parents.

“We definitely can’t say Christmas, nothing with Christmas
on it, nothing with Santa,” PTA President Mimi Ferrer said administrators told
her. “No angels. We can’t even have a star because it can represent a religious
system, like the Star of David.”

Principal Kim wanted to remove everything with a hint of festivities, or anything that would conjure up our nation's Judeo-Christian roots.
This is beyond silly. Conservatives need to start paying attention to the nonsense eating away at our nation's public schools. Fortunately, even the relatively liberal elements in the Parent Teacher Association questioned this forced removal of all things fun.

The fight for our culture begins with the family, then moves to the founding education of our youth, Children are no learning about the goodness of their country, but rather imbibing constant criticism with an emphasis on what the world and this country should look like.
Students are not learning about the United States' foundational values within the Declaration of Independence, and they are not taking in the blessed wisdom of the United States Constitution. Schools are trying to edge God, national integrity, and even individual sovereignty out of young people's minds and hearts. Banning the Pledge of Allegiance, too?! Incredible. Has this principal lost her mind?
Government dependence is becoming the norm, too, with the state as the ultimate provider of all benefits. This is slavery and tyranny infecting people in slow by steady doses. Another question arises: to which government entity would the principal like the students to swear allegiance, if not the United States?
I contacted the school twice, and spoke with one official, even though the person spoke very little English, then hung up on me. I wanted to leave a voice message with the principal, but the messsage machine responded: "Mail box is full."
Of course it was! Certainly, readers and concerned citizens all over the country reacted harshly to this militant political correctness imposed on the young Brooklyn youth.
The Washington Times now reports that the principal backed off the PC scrub.
All it takes is ongoing pressure, and never-ending vigilance. At least social media is making the fight for our liberty easier.
