I remember what my mentor teacher said to one of his classes when I had the chance to observe him:
All economic systems are about keeping people poor.
This is the nonsense that our teachers are learning when they get their credentials.
This is the folly that they then foist on their students throughout the academic year.
Is it any wonder that so many students despair of ever finding a job once they leave the university?
Is it any wonder that these people have no working knowledge of economics, either?
I am appalled that I had so poor a working discernment to sense that this teacher was just no good.
I did not trust him from the first day, in part because I was so nervous, in part because I perceived him to be "too nice" and not diligent enough with the students.
I had still so much that I needed to learn in those days, and there was so much falsehood at the time that I had not been able to filter through!
