DeSantis Beats the Media Like a Boss

Trump wishes he could talk to the press with the same kind of focused panache:

Trump would mock and degrade propagandists, but at the same time he would give them a platform and make them more powerful.

This is not effective.

Governor Chris Christie had the same problem. He would get into fights with fringe disruptors in meetings, and his back-and-forth rants would give them attention.

Here, DeSantis does not name the reports, but instead exposes their hateful lies and political smears. I love how effortlessly he handles the press, and then turns attention back to the subject that he is discussing.
