"Imagination is more important than knowledge."

Albert Einstein

"Faith is the highest passion in a human being. Many in every generation may not come that far, but none comes further."

Soren Kierkegaard

Knowledge tells us what we have. It points out to us what is available, or at least apparent, to our five senses.

Imagination gives us the power to frame and force events which would seem impossible, if not at least improbable. Children imagine being all sorts of things. They pretend very well, in the face of hardships, in the face of challenges, in the hopes of achieving something better.

Yet what leads a child to transform that dream into truth? What gives a person the power to push through hardships and obstacles, to hold onto the dream when everything cries out that it cannot be done?

Faith!

"And [Jesus] said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you." (Luke 17:6)

But what is faith?

The writer of Hebrews declares:

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
(Hebrews 11:1)

By faith, God formed the worlds, both seen and still unseen. Faith moved meek men to do mighty things, and still makes men do ever more (John 14:12)

Faith indeed is a gift from God:

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8)

Without faith, it is impossible to please God; yet we should not be discouraged, for:

"Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom." (Luke 12:32)

Knowledge puffeth up, (1 Corinthians 8:1).

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." (Isaiah 26:3)

Here, "mind" translate the word "yetser" יֵ֣צֶר, which is also translated "imagination"

Therefore, for our imagination to enjoy שָׁלֹ֣ום שָׁלֹ֑ום consummate, healthy, whole, complete, perfect peace, it must be stayed on God.

And that is a matter of faith!

Indeed, beyond knowledge, which may inform imagination, faith abides and sustains all, the greatest human passion, by which we may receiving eternal life in eternity and move mountains on earth.
