Free Markets thrive on tradition and faith.

Everyone believes that something, or someone, is running this nation's financial workings.

Those on the left, who prize the basic goodness of man with a religious fanaticism, trust that the state run by men will do the most good for the economy.

Those who believe in the essential goodness of God trust by faith that he will take care of all things, including the local and parochial needs of every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

"It's a new religious economic idealism."

No, The God of the Hebrews declared His very active investment in our investments long ago:

"But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day" (Deuternonomy 18:8)

And how can we forget the kind chiding and the joyful promises of Jesus Christ in His Sermon on the Mount, which culminated with the following exhortation:

"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)

Righteous spiritual bearing leads to economic prosperity. It truly is a matter of faith, not government force, that makes the global market go round, that makes men health, wealthy, and wise.
