Hope — a positive expectation of good. A sense that things are going to work out, and work out well for the person who has this hope.
"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us" (Romans 5:1-5)
The source and end of hope lies within each believer through the Holy Spirit, whom we receive into ourselves by the Grace of God by faith in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ.
Why is hope important? We move and are motivated by this great hope, that we may face the world and believe that events and outcomes are going to transpire in the manner which every believer holds in his heart and mind by faith.
How do we access this hope? Again, by grace through faith, for the Love of God "is shed abroad in our hearts," an unstoppable rush of living water which refreshes us and nurtures all whom we meet.
