What does electricity, academia, and Libya all have in common?
Besides the fact that the 42-year tyranny of Moammar Gadhafi has come to end with sparks flying and the wagging heads of assent from universities around the world, there is the recent installation by the Libyan National Transitional Council of Abdurrahim el-Keib, an electrical engineer who served at the University of Alabama.
Let us hope the Crimsom Tide flowing out of Alabama to Libya will put an end to the crimson bloodshed which has marred the peace of the Libyan people for four decades, then for the ten months of civil war that brought down the Mad Dog of the Middle East.
