In a desperate attempt to stay in office, five House Democrats came forward to vote against the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — ObamaCare.

The following Democrats are running in tight races, and all of them are all but certain to be swept out of office by November:

Larry Kissell and Mike McIntyre, both of North Carolina — these two house reps face bitter challenges in their home state, where the Republican-controlled legislature redistricted the House seats to favor Republicans across the board.
Oklahoma Rep. Dan Boren and Arkansas Rep. Mike Ross. These two Democrats will not be returning to office next year,  so they have nothing to fear from party or voter backlash.

The most surprising repeal vote, a harbinger of troubles to come for the Democratic party, came from Utah congressman Jim Matheson of Utah. Already carved out of his previous district in Salt Lake City, which now leans heavily Republican, Matheson is challenging a rising star in Utah, Ms. Mia Love, a New York transplant who has helped to prosper a tiny town into a thriving community.

Five repeal votes — a repellent turn of events for the Democratic party, which a little over two years ago boasted supermajorities in the House and the Senate.

If Matheson loses this election, Utah will be entirely red: House, Senate, and Governorship.
