US Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-New Hampshire) rode the Tea Party resurgence in 2010 to victory in a volatile swing state. She stood for fiscal responsibility and limited government, and she could represent no better state than the "Live Free or Die" Granite State.

She took a principled stance against the Manchin-Toomey compromise legislation earlier last year. I applauded her courage to point out that senseless gun violence will not be prevented with more gun control, even expanded background checks, but any reforms must focus on more discretion in treating mentally deranged individuals who pose a threat to themselves or others.

In the past year, however, Senator Ayotte's allegiance to the United States Constitution and the principles of the Tea Party movement have fallen away. She endorsed the "bipartisan", Obamacare-like immigration reform bill, with its one thousand plus pages, and weak guarantee of border security before amnesty. Immigration reform must focus on rolling back the welfare state, enforcing proper protections along the nation's borders (not necessarily a fence), and then allow market forces to determine proper migration patterns.

In her latest appearance on Face the Nation, Ayotte called out the untrustworthy record of President Obama, which provides the perfect reason not to support immigration reform of any kind at this time. However, she also asserted that the Republican majority in the House should go forward with the pork-laden, overwrought immigration reform bill.

President Obama has been an untrustworthy executive, refusing to uphold the rule of law along the borders, easing away from immigration enforcement for illegal immigrants. While the plight of these young "DREAMers" should not be ignored, the President's reckless executive orders are both unconstitutional as well as immoral and illegal.

Contact Senator Ayotte, and tell her to join Boehner and the House Republicans in putting a break on reckless, immoral, and unconstitutional immigration reform. She made a vow not to support amnesty when she ran for office. Remind her to stay on target about the rule of law and proper immigration reform.
