A few weeks ago, the Daily Breeze reported on another legal action from theMexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund against the Department of Health and Human Services.

When does the arrogance stop? The "Mexican" Legal Defense? The last time I checked, this is the United States of America.

Here is the article title, and the article in Italics:

L.A. civil rights group alleges Medi-Cal unfair to low-incomeLatinos

By City News Service

POSTED: 12/15/15, 11:19 PM PST

Low-income Latinos in the Southland and elsewhere are denied
access to health care because the Medi-Cal program does not pay doctors enough
to treat them, according to an administrative complaint filed by a civil rights
group against the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

No kidding. The problem with socialism: the government runs out of other people's money. Everyone has been denied adequate health care because of the government-run bureaucratic wrangling and intervention. We need more market-based health care. This is a joke. And where are the defense legals for the American residents?

The complaint, lodged with the agency’s civil rights
division late Monday, contends the state’s Medi-Cal reimbursements are so much
lower than Medicare and private insurance rates that many providers routinely
decline to treat Medi-Cal enrollees, two-thirds of whom are Latino.

Here's an idea. The state should stop giving out free health insurance to illegal immigrants.

A request for comment left with HHS was not immediately
answered.

The HHS should cease to exist, in my opinion. Health and Human Services belong to you and me, not to the state.

Latinos are the largest group in the state dependant on the
free or low-cost health coverage program, according to the Mexican American
Legal Defense and Educational Fund, which helped fashion the complaint.
.
No one should be dependent on government subsidy. This is a subtle poisonous tyranny which needs to be eradicate from our lives and our country. Socialism ain't sexy.

“Medi-Cal’s inadequate, extremely low reimbursement rates —
in both the fee for service and managed care settings — and its failure to
adequately monitor access to medical care, effectively deny the full benefits
of the Medi-Cal program to the more than seven million Latino enrollees who
rely on Medi-Cal for their health care,” the complaint letter states.

"Free service" says it all. This double-talk is offensive and fraudulent. Health care is not free. Someone is paying for it, or absording the costs of not recouping their loses from the use of resources. This immoral intrusion must cease, Health care is too vital a commodity to leave with the government.

MALDEF’s president and general counsel, Thomas A. Saenz,
said that by lowering reimbursement rates at the same time Latinos have
increased their use of Medi-Cal, “California undermines strides recently made
in expanding health access, and treats Latinos as second-class patients.”

Anyone who uses government health care has become a second-class patient. The care will always be second-rate.
Latinos on Medi-Cal, he said, “have the same basic right to
access health care as others in California.”

Health care is not a right, if it involves taking from men and women by force their resources, means, and livelihood.

Medi-Cal Not Covering

"Latinos are the largest group in the state dependant

complaint."

And the left wing media calls people racists for suggesting
that letting our country be overrun by ill-g-l al-ens wasn't such a hot idea.

Fonebone is right on the money, and the money will never be right there for proper use and disbursement as long as the state is holding all the cards, resources, funds, etc.

"MALDEF’s president and general counsel, Thomas A.
Saenz, said that by lowering reimbursement rates at the same time Latinos have

So, apparently, if the taxpayers of CA are not handing out
enough FREE services, we are treating people as "second-class
patients."

This article provides a racist argument. What does "Latino" mean, anyway?

In California, about 2.3 million residents have enrolled so
far in the expanded Medi-Cal program, nearly three times (300%) more than the
state's prediction of 800,257 enrollees Meanwhile, overall Medi-Cal costs have
increased from $91.5 billion to $115.4 billion over the past five years

The costs are rising as more people enter, and as a result, the reimbursement rates are falling, falling fast. This is about more than the number of Latinos, but about the rising number of people, regardless of color, jumping onto the Medi-Cal system

If anyone is racist, look no further than the state legislature, which expanded this terrible government handout to illegal aliens in the first place!
