I received the latest eblast from the Loretta Sanchez for US Senate campaign:
February 24, 2016 – Support for Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez’s bid to replace Barbara Boxer in the United States Senate continues to grow among local-level leaders across California, with numerous Mayors, City Councilmembers, and other local-level officials from across Los Angeles County announcing their endorsement of Loretta’s candidacy.
Among the endorsements listed?
Cudahy Mayor Cristian Markovich!
Now, Markovich has played up his and his corrupt coleagues' support for illegal aliens at the expense of legal residents.
Do they really want to support a US Senate candidate who has said the following?
Cudahy Mayor Cristian Markovich |
Democratic Rep. Loretta Sanchez, a candidate for the U.S. Senate, said as many
as 20 percent of Muslims desire to form an Islamic caliphate, “to institute
that in any way possible,” and go after Western norms, “our way of life.”
that there is a small group, and we don’t know how big that is – it can be
anywhere between 5 and 20 percent, from the people that I speak to – that Islam
is their religion and who have a desire for a caliphate and to institute that
in any way possible, and in particular go after Western norms,” Sanchez said on
the program “PoliticKING with Larry King.”
Let's be honest. Sanchez is angling for a Top Two spot after the primary and targeting Republican or conservative votes.
She wants to play up her credentials as tough on national security, too.

Of course, there were repercussions for these remarks:
sometimes veers off-script, Sanchez has in the past been forced to later
explain her comments and actions. In May, she apologized after making a mocking
cliché of American Indians. Her on-air speculation about the number of Muslims
willing to use terror follows widespread condemnation of Republican
presidential candidate Donald Trump’s proposal for a “total and complete” ban
on Muslims entering the U.S. “until our country’s representatives can figure
out what is going on.”
