This is great news for Republicans in the state of California.
The 44th Assembly District's Republican challenger Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy has received the endorsement for one of her Democratic opponents from the primary:
"I'm casting my vote for Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy because she has the dedication, experience, and most importantly, the integrity to best represent AD-44 in the Assembly," Zelinsky said. "Ronda will take on the career politicians in Sacramento, jumpstart our economy, improve our schools, and focus on keeping our community safe. Unlike Jacqui Irwin, Ronda will oppose the unfair gas tax, and she won't be controlled by a single political party. Simply put, Ronda wants what's best for AD-44, not the party bosses or special interests in Sacramento."
“I am honored to have received the endorsement of Dr. Robert Zelinsky, a registered Democrat and former opponent of mine," Baldwin-Kennedy said. "I look forward to continue working across party lines to win the support of Republicans, Democrats, and Independents throughout the 44th District."
=====
Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin (D) will face off against attorney Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy (R) in the general election in Assembly District 44. Irwin narrowly took the top spot in the June primary by a single-digit margin over Baldwin-Kennedy, setting up a targeted, competitive race in November.
So, even if you don't live in the district, even if you aren't a Republican, it would make sense to support Ronda's candidacy. Donate, campaign, call, walk. Vote if you can legally.
