This is a common problem among the LGBT scene.
The health problems which affect homosexuals and transgenders simply cannot be ignored.
It must be confronted, and people have to have the courage to say: "It's your lifestyle that is killing you!"
Our bodies were not designed for physical intimacy between two people of the same sex.
That is not love. That is actually a form of hate. Let's just call it what it is. It is self-loathing for men and women who attempt to engage someone of the same sex sexually.
One statement from this Frederick County, Maryland website, does not quite understand the issue:

community …
Indeed, they are all too prevalent.
But the website gets it wrong as to why:

staff because of stigma, bias, or failure to help. This is not unique to
Frederick County—many transgender patients across the country, for example,
have reported being harassed in a doctor’s office, been denied medical care, or
avoided seeking healthcare fear of being mistreated.

The problems are inherently fraught with disease, dysfunction, and death.
The stigma is a natural response to unnatural behaviors. Simple as that.
