And how convenient that this takes place at the same time that Singapore's courts are hearing three cases to determine whether the anti-sodomy law should be struck down as constitutional, as well.
Following this, I posted the following open letter to the Minister:
Mr. Shanmugam, as a foreigner myself, would I now be permitted to speak in favor of #377a in your country? Or would you discriminate against me for defending natural law and public order?
In fact, I would militantly urge you to begin some degree of enforcement of this law, since sexual perversion, acts of gross indecency between men should be discouraged at all costs.
As an American, I can fully attest that the forced decriminalization of sodomy has created more problems in our country. In fact, we in the United States have a growing community of pro-family activists throughout disgusted with the advance of sexual perversion in the name of "Love is Love." From shameful gay "pride" parades to the spread of venereal disease, broken homes, advanced mental illness, the breakdown of civic bonds in many cities–the push to normalize LGBT has simply allowed the abnormal to dictate and demean what is good and right.
Mr. Shanmugam, would you please explain to me why you are so determined to placate a small group of sexual deviants instead of honoring the public good and natural law?
Mr. Shanmugam, why are you so determined to undermine the rule of law and the public good, all in the name of "social justice"?
Why would any nation want to treat mental illness as a civil right?
Your Forefather Lee Kuan Yew intended an orderly society, one in which economic liberty with cultural restraint ensured blessings for the greatest number. Why would you seek to undermine this?
For the love of God and all that is Good, maintain #377A.
Sincerely,
Arthur Schaper
