Hi Arthur,
Have You Seen the New Poll by the Los Angeles Daily News?
Our campaign momentum continues to grow as we hit 20 days until Election Day. Rick has been visiting every corner of Los Angeles, voters widely agree that Rick won the debates, and the polls are shifting meaningfully in our direction.
A new poll from the Los Angeles Daily News is reflecting this momentum. "The poll shows Caruso, a political newcomer who has largely self-funded his campaign, with a 3 percentage-point lead (39.8% v. 36.8%) over Bass."
Voters in this poll are taking note of Rick's comprehensive policy agenda, and commanding debate performances, noting that:
"When asked which candidate would do a better job addressing key issues confronting the city, the respondents named Caruso in four of the five categories.
"Managing the city’s finances had Caruso with a notable lead (37.8% v. 31%)."
"In three other areas – dealing with inflation and the economy, homelessness and poverty, and crime and public safety – Caruso led by 4 to 4.3 percentages points."
Rick commented on the momentum on Tuesday evening:
“I can feel the positive momentum for our campaign when I am out in the community meeting with people. Voters know the best way to address homelessness and safety is to have a leader who doesn’t accept the deterioration of our quality of life. We know this is going to be a tight race and I am going to work hard to earn every vote and make Los Angeles a place where every resident can thrive.”
We are thrilled with the momentum, but we are not resting, we view this as a tied race and we need to continue to get out our voters.
