In case you missed it … It has been one month since ICE began descending on the South Bay.
Here’s some welcome minders:8 South Bay, Harbor Area residents held in immigration raids across Southern CaliforniaAgents fanned out across six counties, arresting at-large criminal foreign nationals, illegal re-entrants and immigration fugitives. In addition to the arrests in El Segundo and Carson, three people were arrested in San Pedro, and one each in Hawthorne, Inglewood and Culver City. Twenty-six arrests occurred in Los Angeles. Eight people, including a 32-year-old Mexican national with convictions for child molestation and who is a registered sex offender, were arrested in Long Beach.
Can you imagine sexual predators living in our midst–who are illegal?! That is outrageous!
“It’s a win for us and now we’ve taken these convicted criminals off the streets so they can’t reoffend, they can’t make more victims and, ultimately, our goal is to remove them from the country,” David Marin, field office director for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations in Los Angeles. “They weren’t people who just had traffic tickets or speeding violations.”Amen! I back the blue when they blue are backing us! God bless ICE for doing their job. They are putting crime on chill! LOCAL ARRESTSWhat do we know about the illegal aliens that were deported from the South Bay!
Among those arrested in the South Bay:
• A 55-year-old Guatemalan national sentenced to four years in prison for voluntary manslaughter • A 55-year-old Guatemalan national with convictions for domestic violence causing injury and for driving under the influence was arrested on Sunday in El Segundo.”Department of Homeland Security databases indicate he was arrested earlier this year on another DUI charge, but was released by local authorities despite an ICE detainer. He has been placed in immigration removal proceedings,” ICE spokeswoman Virginia Kice said. I want you to reread the above passage. ICE had issued a detained to one city, yet that same city refused to honor it and released the illegal alien back into our community. TRUMP’S ORDERUnder President Barack Obama’s administration, ICE was not allowed to arrest or target certain groups of people, Marin said. In the Trump administration, agents are able to arrest anyone in violation of immigration law. God bless Donald Trump! ICE’s enforcement priorities under Obama since 2014 included serious misdemeanors, such as domestic violence and driving under the influence, but did not necessarily include crimes such as theft or fraud unless they were sentenced to at least 90 days of custody for them. GREEN-CARD HOLDER ARRESTEDJennie Pasquarella, director of immigrants’ rights for the American Civil Liberties Union of California, said ICE arrests during the operation included a decadeslong green card holder from El Monte who, according to the man’s family, had a domestic violence-related conviction dating to the early 1990s. Too bad! It is a privilege, not a right, for someone to immigrate to the United States. Why is this such a problem for people to understand?! The liberal, left-wing, increasingly irrelevant press simply does not understand that all the detailed sob stories about illegal alien families no longer holds sway. I am tired of this. When will we start reading about the unjust heartache and hurt visited on American families? Those families are divided forever when an illegal alien kills an American. JUDGES ORDER DEPORTATIONSImmigration judges are responsible for ordering someone’s deportation, but it’s ICE’s job to put those green card holders who are subject to removal because of the crimes they’ve committed in front of such a judge, he said. Once the judge makes a decision, an appeal can be filed with the U. S. Department of Justice’s Board of Immigration Appeals and the U. S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. At least eight people arrested now face federal prosecution for re-entry after deportation, which is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, officials said in the statement. Si Se Puede DEPORT! The list below should be very unsettling to us, even those of us who live in the safe and sound South Bay, who think that illegal immigration does not really impact us … RAPE, DRUG TRAFFICKING
Other arrests across Southern California included:• A 29-year-old Salvadoran national convicted of rape. Homeland Security databases indicated the man arrested in Los Angeles was deported in 2013 after serving a nine-year prison term, but returned to the United States illegally.• A previously deported 51-year-old Mexican national in La Puente who served three years in prison for cocaine trafficking.• A 47-year-old Mexican national with convictions for felony assault and battery. Federal databases indicate local authorities released the Los Angeles man in 2014 despite an ICE detainer.• A 26-year-old Salvadoran national arrested in Azusa who is a registered sex offender based on his 2014 conviction for having unlawful sex with a minor.
